Hello
A church online is an opportunity for you to hear biblical teaching, and be prayed for.

A church is when we meet together to share food, hear biblical teaching, share in communion, pray for each other, and encourage one another in our relationship with God. All who are curious about God, and would like to share in and/or observe this experience are welcome.

We are set up as a minimalist church, providing the basics required for fellowship, teaching, and communion, and we have no committees, ministries, rotas, chores, or financial obligations we would expect you to commit to.

We are committed to God's church, not our church, and will happily connect you to churches, church groups, and ministries in your local area that share our statement of faith, and can provide you with more opportunities to develop your, faith, understanding, and relationship with God, including praise & worship, discipleship courses, counselling, chaplaincy, alpha courses, leadership opportunities, and more.

What we believe
We agree with the Evangelical Alliances' basis of faith.
There is only one God, He is the creator, the first cause, the intelligent designer, the most high. He is eternal,
self-existing, all knowing, all powerful, and ever-present. He is one being co-existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Faith in this one God is a rational belief that has stood the test of time, having endured scrutiny both within and out with the faith. There is evidence of Gods handiwork that we can see with our own eyes, which is further revealed through scientific discoveries in a number of fields, including medicine, anthropology, archaeology, geology, astronomy, and more.
In the beginning Humans were created in God's image, we were innocent and enjoyed a communal relationship with Him, however we used the free will God gave us to reject Him through disobedience. This created a divide between humans and God which is disastrous, and resulted in the broken world we live in today, where we now choose self, others, experiences, and materials things over Him. We suffer and struggle mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually, and ultimately we die. Further still, our rejection of Him has eternal consequences. He will hold us to account for our thoughts, words, actions and inactions, for our treatment of self and others, and for our response to His offer of salvation and relationship with Him.

God began His master plan to restore the relationship with humanity through Abraham and His chosen people, the Jews. He gave Israel His law, instructed them on how to live in obedience to Him, revealed Himself through miracles, messengers, and moments, and spoke to them and the world of His current and future plans through His prophets. God in His wisdom inspired and instructed key figures in Israel's history to write down their history, His law, their songs of worship, their poetry, their interactions with God, His actions, and His words, which is, The Old Testament.

God continued His master plan by sending His only son, Jesus Christ the Messiah prophesised in the Old Testament, to fulfil the Old Testament Law, to be the light of the world, to reveal God the Father to us, to be God walking on earth among us, to share in our human experiences, and to show the character, power, wisdom, and love of God. He came to restore the relationship between us and God, and to both reveal and execute the plan of God for our salvation, in person. He then called His apostles to spread the word, share the faith, and instruct the early church on How to live for, and like Christ. In His wisdom God inspired and instructed Jesus disciples, and apostles to write down what they observed, experienced, and learned from Him, which is, The New Testament.

The bible (Old & New Testament) is the inspired word of God, it contains all we need to know about God, ourselves, humanity, the universe, the past, the present, and the future. Written by the hands of men, but with the words, influence, and instruction of God.
We find the history of our beginnings and fall, how God revealed Himself to and through Abraham and the Jews, we find Gods laws and instructions on living and morality, we find poetry and prose that illuminates God's character and relationship with His creation, we find prophecies both fulfilled and yet to be fulfilled, we find the life, words, and works of Jesus and His chosen disciples and apostles, and we find the promises of things to come. We should try to understand our culture, the world, and our experiences through God's word, not the other way around. It is not a question of what do we take from the bible? but rather, what does the bible say?
Jesus was conceived supernaturally, He lived a Sinless Life, had a Miraculous Ministry, willingly paid the price for our sin through his death, physically rose from the dead, appeared before many witnesses, ascended to heaven, prays and advocates for us, and He will return to earth personally, bodily, and visibly, and in power and glory, to set things right, creating a new heaven and a new earth.

Salvation from this reality of sin, suffering, and death is only found through faith in Christ, who died for our sins, was buried and then raised from the dead on the third day. He, as an innocent, suffered that brutal and cruel execution in our place, and it is through his death that the judgement and punishment for our sin was served, therefore we can now be saved from that punishment/separation from God.

This experience of salvation is also known as the new birth, or being born again, is an instantaneous and complete operation of the Holy Spirit upon initial faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Some come to this salvation slowly, realising the truth over time, others hear the good news, the word of God and respond immediately. Putting our faith in Jesus should be an informed choice, not the result of force.

All who have truly repented and believed in Christ as Lord and Saviour are commanded by Jesus to be baptised like Him by immersion in water. Baptism should be undertaken by choice not by force of people.

The Holy Spirit is bestowed upon a believer at the moment of salvation, it is a gift that cannot be taken away.
In the unlikely or rare circumstances where a person believes the Gospel but has not heard of or understood the Holy Spirit, then praying for the recieving of the Holy Spirit should take place, as the Holy Spirit is the guarantee of salvation. Evidence of recieving the Holy Spirit is the transformation of a persons view of self, conscience, morality, and decision making, sometimes instantly obvious, sometimes a more gradual change, and most of the time, a bit of both.
The Fruit of the Spirit should be what Christians aspire to cultivate in themselves and demonstrate in their daily lives; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. The Holy Spirit, The word of God, and fellowship with other believers help with that. These fruits can be grown in all Christians, and Christians should try to imitate Christ in life and conduct, in obedience to God's command.

The Gifts of the Spirit include; wisdom, healing, prophecy, faith, discernment, miracles, and speaking in other tongues. Not every Christian will have all of these gifts, and they should not be used as the benchmark to determine whether someone is genuinely saved or not.

Those who have truly repented and believe in Christ as Lord and Saviour should, when they meet together to pray and fellowship, break bread and drink wine as a kind of retelling and symbolic participation in both the last supper and the death of Jesus. (Healthy and allergen free bread and a healthy non-alcoholic substitute is preferred to remove a stumbling block for people with allergies, intolerances, food related issues and addiction.)

The Church is, all believers who have been given life by the Spirit and endowed with the Spirit’s gifts to worship God and proclaim the gospel, promoting justice and love.

There will be an end of the world as we know it, natural disasters, wars, diseases, social unrest, division, financial collapse, and immorality will all increase. A man will masquerade as a kind of fake saviour of the world who will appear to solve the problems, the world will fall for him and obey him, and those who don't will be persecuted.
However, Jesus will return in the fulness of time, visibly and bodily, to fulfil His masterplan, to put an end to it all, to raise all people for judgement, bringing eternal life with Him to the redeemed and eternal condemnation to the lost, and He will establish a new heaven and new earth.
